Gordon Rankin Bugle 45

After building the JE Labs 300B DX, I thought I should build an amp based on the type 45 triode. My first attempt to make a 45 amp is based on another proven circuit- the Gordon Rankin Bugle 45 that appeared in Sound Practices. I just wanted to hear how a 45 will sound like so I made the amp hush-hush on a prototype, as seen in this picture.

It sounded so good that I lived with this amp, in this form, for many months until when one of the 6072 died. That led me to try making a 45 amp based on scratch. My 45 amplifier is here.
