The road to nirvana

My journey into Photography, Horology, and Audiophilia

The Acoustic Signature Tornado NEO turntable, my end game?

Playback time!

After making sure everything is properly leveled, it's time to hear it for the first time. I cued in Jack Johnson and it's beautiful music.

But wait, when the stylus got to the end of the lead out groove, the issue that manifested with the Performance DC still occured. I thought I have eliminated it because I have the tonearm as close as possible to the spindle already.

Fusion 360 to the rescue. As always, I can fix things using Fusion 360 and my 3D printer, so I designed a proper armboard to fix this issue once and for all.

Here's the prototype.

This dimensionally adjusted armboard for the Clearaudio TT3 is the solution to a problem that shouldn't be present in the first place.

I am now able to enjoy my vinyl albums and each track I play confirms the decision to upgrade to the Tornado NEO was the right direction.
